First of all I am not joking but what if we could take our necessary hair transplants from others, just like heart or liver. :D And by saying others I mean clinically dead people, or prisoners sentenced to capital punishment or even by ads in the newspapers? :p

what's the point in that. if you're gonna have a transplant, you're gonna have to have stuff injected in ur scalp anyway, and so seeing as the hair on the back of your head and sides is 'permanent', why not just use that, seeing as its ur own!

thats obviously not a new idea..the reason it doesnt happen is because your body will reject it because its not your own hair.

it has been done a Dr transplant a hair from his wifes head onto his arm and it grew, i beleave you have to take anti rejection drugs
I am sure there is some info on one of these hair loss site about it
i think the Dr name was Joda
even if this worked well who would sell there hair?

you would get Asian or africian hair as i dont think you would get many people in the west selling there hair

it wouldnt look very good or natural ud have to be very careful to pick someone with ur kind of hair texture.... and the reason its not done is like the dude said ur body might reject it

This is being investigated currently by transplant docs, in particular Dr. Bazan intends to try a small transplant using the patients girlfriend as a donor.

However there is still a risk of rejection.

I was chatting about this with Dr. Rogers. It's been tried a number of times, but it's not very successful, the recipients usually just reject the hairs very quickly and the transplants never take hold.

Well yes, extremely well, conting vellus I'm close to 80% re-growth and constantly seeing new hairs. There are before and after pictures in my sig.

I'm not joking about the sides though!

I have researched this and discussed with other surgeons without much success. The body has its own gene identity and to take other follicles from other people which have a different programmed gene it simply doesnt work. The hairs will not last.Everybody in lamens terms has there own barcode attached to them.Nobody is the same.Would be nice though if it did work would save me getting a scar and i could give it to my girlfriend.

damo,
I know you research the transplant business pretty heavily. Has there been any additional advancement on moving body hair? We have tons of this stuff (about 3-4 times more than we realize becuase most of it is in telogen phase and we'd look like apes if it all fired at once) and it would be a source of enough hair for a N7 to go to N2 at least.
