Quitting Rogaine

My concerns with rogaine is that it actually might be causing me to lose hair. The areas on my scalp that get the most absorption appear to be thinning. I haven't seen any regrowth or any minoxidil hairs which is supposedly what people benefit from using it. However I do think nizoral has had positive effects on my hair. I'm thinking of quitting rogaine and seeing if keto shampoo will keep my hair loss at bay on its own.

My question is should I expect to experience a shed? I don't have any minoxidil hairs that came in. I'm thinking i won't have a shed. Your thoughts?

My hair looks the same if not better then Last October since I started the treatments.

The answer that makes sense is that you will only lose the hair you have gained with minoxidil. So if you haven't gained any you should be finasteride. This hair loss stuff sometimes doesn't make sense so who really knows what will happen?

It's weird cause I buzzed my hair short and it looks a lot better. Must just be an illusion. If I grow it out long I notice how thin my hair is.

It looks better shaved, because a lot of hair gained with minoxidil doesn't finish terminal and they are so small and thin than u see them only when u shave ur hair,
It's the same for me, minoxidil just gave me a f*cking shedding, now i'm adding S5 cream and I decrease my minoxidil dosage ( 3 sprays morning/evening), hope it will help ...

I have been shedding a bit... those little 1/2" hairs with white bulbs on the end are showing up everywhere :/ I will probably finish my suppy of rogaine and stick with 1 ml at night.

I think the nizoral shampoo is great for many reasons though. Keto is an antiandrogen, so there may be some benefit there at the spot. It's antidandruff and antifungal so you know you won't have deal with fungus causing hair loss. I also think my hair looks thicker after using it, so it is actually a good volumizing shampoo. Will it prevent hair loss? Nah.

I read somewhere that the pill form of keto can cause gynocomastia though. I guess I would recommend not swallowing any of the shampoo while you are in the shower haha.

You have a point here. Hair with low density looks better when shorter.
With the right cut, even thinner areas can be "disguised"(you cut thick areas surrounding thin areas shorter).
