TIMELINE : On finasteride/min for 7 months - had terrible itchy/dandruff scalp beginning at month 3.. didn't know what to do or what was causing my itch. I began with quitting minoxidil for 1.5 weeks with no relief, I concluded minoxidil maybe wasnt causing my itch. So then i got back on minoxidil and quit finasteride for 9 days, with no relief. After going to my dermatologist I was diagnosed with seb derm. and was prescribed a topical steroid and advised to quit minoxidil (derm did not believe finasteride would cause a itch/dandruff). Since then i resume Finasteride and been back on it for 3 weeks with no itch and no dandruff any longer.
My question is since qutting finasteride for 9 days only will restarting the medication be like if I am taking it for the first time again or will my progress (if any) will continue from where i left off?
Does the post minoxidil shed last awhile?
Since im currently on finasteride and RU should i still expect a drastic change in my hair since quitting minoxidil or will i continue to get hairs gains as i approach my one year on finasteride?
