Quick question about tiny hairs (regarding finasteride)

I've been taking finasteride for about 3 months and about two weeks ago I started to notice very, very tiny blonde hairs (like ultra tiny) on my right temple and even onto my face a little bit. There are a few on my left temple, which seems to be receding worse, but not nearly as many.

I don't think these hairs were there before, though I could be wrong...I have noticed that the "tiny" hairs on your forehead when you're 12 aren't there anymore...but now it seems some of them up by my hairline have started to come back.

Is this a sign of good things to come? If all those hairs came back I'd be a thick NW1 LOL.

No density changes on the top so far though, I am curious if I have tiny hairs like this starting up all over my scalp....

....or am I just getting my hopes up?

hi im using minoxidil. for around 2-3weeks now and seen simular thing. ive got black hair but in between bald spots i can see these little white hairs thats im sure were never there!!!!! hmmmm and it is more on the front too ( good news )? i think..

I had the same thing when starting dutasteride and minoxidil. They didnt turn black unfortunately.

I think with these treatments its best to aim for maintenance. If your exisitng hair gets thicker great, if you grow new hair then even better... but you'll be lucky to grow back everything you once had... very lucky!

I dont mean to piss on yer bonfire, but aim for maintenance and view anything beyond that as an unexpected bonus.

It seems I have two or three hairs in the corner of my hairline that are darker that don't seem to be miniaturized...they are shorter though.

My left temple has had no change and about 30% of the number of those small blonde hairs. It does seem to have almost stopped having new thinning going on, hopefully some kind of reversal is happening.

I've been on propecia (1mg first ~2months, then 0.5mg) for some 7months now, along with nizoral and i too have noticed such hairs. However it still seems too early to properly evaluate them..it could be that your hairloss is still continuing or not.
