SI'm familiar with the effects of Finn/duasteride, as well as how minoxidil works. My question is - I've been on minnox and finn 1.25 since December and experienced significant returns! In fact I'm really happy with how it's progressing!
1. I know stopping min will kill off the min dependent hairs. My question is, will they be replaced by non minnox dependent hairs? Or will those minnox dependent follicles doe permanently or go back to sleep?
2. I'm planning to switch from Finn to duasteride as I've read results are significantly better. Does tapering off minnox make a difference in the appearance of the hairline? (I.e) going from 2x a day to once a day... Then alternate days... Then every 2 days, etc. I'm aware there will be shedding, but I'm hoping it will be more controlled, and give time for the minnox hairs to be replenished by non minoxidil hairs... Or does it not make a difference?
3. Considering my significant results, if I go off minnox, and shed. Will just being on Duasteeide return the hairs after the shedding period? Especially since it seems that minnox was able to restore 90% of my hairline. However since I'm growing my hair long, I'm not keen on having to use minnox daily for the rest of my life (especially when you look at the cost, and the fact that where I live rogaine foam is the only minnox formula available)
4. I am transgender and will be starting hormone therapy soon. My goal is to keep my hair Alive and managed till I can start hormone treatment. I don't want minnox to cause permanent damage to my hair follicles
