hey im 19 n thinking about taking propecia...i still have a full set of hair but i have a receding hairline but the minoxidil has slowed it down a tremendous amount and even grew back some. anyways, on to my questions...

1)how long will it take to notice results?

2)does it really cause oily skin and breakouts, and how long will it take to subside if at all?

3)how much does it cost per month?

4)when does the first sheds from propecia usually occur?

5)r u happy with your propecia results? if not, please elaborate?

thank you for your time.

1)how long will it take to notice results?
For me, as soon as the first pill touched my tongue hairs sprouted from my temples.

2)does it really cause oily skin and breakouts, and how long will it take to subside if at all?
I'm Greek. As a member of this once proud people, my skin remains oily year round. Luckily, I hide it behind my monstrously horrific bodyhair.

3)how much does it cost per month?
Would you say you have quick hands and nimble feet???

4)when does the first sheds from propecia usually occur?
Immediately after you buy the box. Propecia "leaks" into surrounding areas and has even been accused of minor psychic ability. People contemplating using Propecia have noticed increased shedding.

5)r u happy with your propecia results? if not, please elaborate?
My hair completely grew back. Unfortunately my penis is now half it's length. Which is good, because my mom got her wheelbarrow back.

Hope I helped

Fro,

1. You can see results in as early as three months. I know I did. However, to be certain it is working/not working, you must give the drug a year.

2. It can cause an increase in oil and the occasional zit, but as your body adjusts to the new hormone balance this should subside. I did not get any additional oil or acne, and I've had some bad acne in my time.

3. Typically, Propecia costs between 45-60 dollars a month from the pharmacy. However, I buy Proscar's generic, Fincar, from India and I pay about 60 dollars a year.

4. I believe sheds generally occur in the first four months. They can happen at any time, however.

I don't know for certain if I've ever had a shed. I don't think I have. But then, I did not experience "regrowth" so much, as the thinning hair I still had began to thicken up and returned to normal. In May, the hair on my crown seemed to get a little thinner but then came back better than ever. I started a course of Accutane in late April and I'm pretty sure this is related.

5. Extremely happy. In fact, happier than I ever thought I'd be.

Frankly, I had no expectations at all for regrowth. I thought I would just get maintainence and that'd be it...however, my crown has basically filled in totally and my hairline is coming back. Now, I don't think I'll ever get my 16 year old hairline back, but I've got no problem keeping what I have now.

im 19 as well, i do not use minoxidil though

1)how long will it take to notice results?

results can vary dont get a set number in your head, if you have noticed any kind of decrease or stopping in shed then other solutions should be discussed with a doctor

2)does it really cause oily skin and breakouts, and how long will it take to subside if at all?

it caused a slight increase in oil excretion, not a real problem with breakouts though, if it continues for months (noticably it may just be in your head) you should probably talk to a doctor because this isnt really normal

3)how much does it cost per month?

pay 132$ for a 3 months supply

4)when does the first sheds from propecia usually occur?
i never had a shed

5)r u happy with your propecia results? if not, please elaborate?

too soon to tell i think, however my "month 3 photos" are coming soon so you can judge for yourself (im hoping they show some improvement)

2)does it really cause oily skin and breakouts, and how long will it take to subside if at all?

3)how much does it cost per month?

4)when does the first sheds from propecia usually occur?
within the first 4 months

5)r u happy with your propecia results? if not, please elaborate?
