I am 19, I'll be 20 next month, and seriously thinking about starting propecia. I have used rogaine/minoxidil 5% for 10 months and the results were great the first 5-6 months but for the past couple of months, the results have deteroriated and I have lost a lot. I suffer from recession and have noticed that I am also thinning on top and that is why I want to start taking propecia and I am ready to commit to it.
But I have a problem, my doctor won't let me get a prescription for propecia because he says I am too young and that my body is still developing and that he won't let me get on propecia unless I was in my 30's. I always thought propecia was safe after you were 18. I'll be 20 next month so I don't see any harm from it.
