I have been doing my research on DHT and apart from the act its the leading cause of male pattern baldness i still have alot of unanswered questions. Firstly i know how DHT causes hairloss and how its created but here are a few things im still unsure about.

1. Why do we need DHT in our bodies. Why does our body create DHT
2. Does everyone have DHT. What make someone more susceptible to DHT
3. Is DHT caused by high levels of testosterone or not?

Thanks.

I'm no expert but heres a quick response, DHT is a male sex hormone responsible for sexual development it is important during puberty. Everbody has it. Its the hair follicles in men with the m.p.b genes that are susceptable to it. And no DHT is not caused by high testosterone levels its simply created whatever test levels you have.
You could have low testosterone levels and still go bald.
