Question: Why do mammals have hair?

my theory is that there is no reason for losing our hair because for the longest time we would have had kids far before male pattern baldness could ever have taken effect. so its never had a chance to become part of the natural selection process. up until recently, all of us would have fathered all the children we were going to by around 20.

not so much of a theory as an anti-theory.

oh i also think that male pattern baldness could be a symptom of underlying conditions which have been ignored up until this point.
