Question For Those Of Us With Norwood 3 Hairline Recession

I don't know if this is the right place in the forum to post this but I was wondering if someone can explain this.

Ever since I started to recede, hair growth is very slow. Is this because of the DHT buildup in the scalp or what?
My hairline is heavily receded and depressing to look at, I was thinking I can grow out some hair to hide it but it still looks off.
As I previously stated, hair growth is very slow, slower than the average half an inch a month. Does anyone else experience this? My question is for all the guys that are specifically norwood 3, but please anyone chime in on this, I'm curious. Also, does propecia help with the speed of hair growth?

Not sure about finasteride and speed of growth. There are reports of biotin speeding up hair growth though, you could look into supplements as they are reasonably cheap.

Yeah I started using Viviscal healthy hair growth pills with biotin and keratin and after a couple weeks I've noticed that my facial hair (which as an 18 year old is hardly impressive) started growing quicker which I imagine is also the same for the hair on my head.
I think it would make sense for the hair on top to grow slower with male pattern baldness but I dont know

Okay, thanks guys, i'll look into those products you both recommended. I've heard of biotin before, @doyle11 have you taken biotin before? I'm wondering if it's because the scalp becomes greasy and that chokes the follicles and gradually remaining hair becomes thinner and harder to grow. I'm wondering the science behind this.

I don't know if Biotin works on hair as they advertise but nails on my hands grow super fast. I cut them every 2 weeks.

That's awesome that it's helping to grow your nails faster. I will have to try it since I've noticed my nails are extremely brittle and break off with a little force. I'm wondering if brittle nails are connected to hair fall in some individuals, a lack of keratin maybe because of hormones/hormonal shifts.

Try it. I'm taking 10,000 Biotin. I read that some people may experience little side effects but i didn't have any.
