Thanks techprof for the reply, yeah it would be easier if we could mix it in the same solution. Also applying Xandrox 15 after Spin Trap C should speed up the absorbtion of the Spin Trap aswell. Thanks!

But stilll wouldn't you still consider it the most powerful topical antiandrogen of the lot?

Most powerful of WHICH lot? :)

Yeah, spironolactone is probably the best of the commonly-available antiandrogens, but that ain't saying very much. There are very few others to choose from. No, I'm certainly not including RU58841 in that "commonly available" category.

Lessofarockstar said:
If we are to say that topical finasteride or dutasteride would have systemic effects? I am asking because I need something to battle DHT that isn't finasteride... So I am obviously turning to spironolactone.

Yep. Probably the best choice, even if topical spironolactone is only so-so.

Lessofarockstar said:
Btw what are your thoughts on immortalhair? Is it bs or could it actually do something DHT wise maybe combined with topical spironolactone?

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with it. I don't keep up with all the latest hairloss products that come out on a regular basis. What's in the stuff?

Bryan, would it be okay to apply Dr.Lee's 5% spironolactone ceam 30 minutes after applying Revivogen? Would the Revivogen stop the absorption of the %5 spironolactone cream? Revivogen seems to dry within 30 minutes on my scalp and it only leaves a little oily shine on my scalp but its pretty dry after 30 minutes. Would this be okay? Thanks!

Oh, to answer you question Immortal Hair is a poster at regrowth who uses natural internals to battle hairloss. They're not his products. Stuff like:

Flax Lignans
Green Tea Extract
Beta-Sis
Glisodin
Gotu Kola
Mushroom Immune Defense
DIM
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI
Biotin

Hi techprof, sorry to bother you but i have another question if you dont mind.

Dr.Lee says it okay to wash off Xandrox 15 after 1 hour because it absorbs in that time. I apply it as soon as i get up because i do cardio on an empty stomach for about 45 minutes, then eat breakfast and shower. So it ends up being on my scalp for 90 minutes. I decided to apply Spin Trap C 5 minintes before the Xandrox 15 because thats the only time of my day that i can fit it in and i already have a bottle of it. So the Spin Trap C and Xandrox 15 ends up being on my scalp for 90 minutes and i was wondering if this is enough time for the Spin Trap C to absorb especially since i apply Xandrox 15 after so it might speed up the absorption of the Spin Trap C?

Anyways if you could let me know when you get a chance that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

stax, your plan is good. 90 mins should be reasonably enough.

Hi techprof, sorry to bother you once more but i was wondering if you could help me out with one last question. My regimen has changed a little bit. Its going to look like this but im debating using either a second application of Spin Trap C at night or Revivogen.

Morning before shower:

- Spin Trap C
- Xandrox 15 (5 minutes later, both on scalp for 90 minutes total)

After shower:

-Prescription Proxiphen

Night before Bed:

-Xandrox 5 with Retin -A
- Genhair 2% Flutamide Lotion 2% ( 30 mins later)

For regrowth should i add Revivogen after the Flutamide or should i add a second dose of Spin Trap C 5 minutes before the Xandrox 5 with Retin-A, then 30 minutes later apply the Flutamide lotion? Or should i just leave my regimen how it looks above?

Also mid day i apply a dose of Remox 3 lotion just to the hairline for regrowth. I havent started dutasteride yet as it hasnt arrived yet. I really want to spark the regorwth to terminal hair from the vellus hair i just dont know the most effective way to do it. If you can help me out when you have the chance that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

stax, my suggestion would be spintrapC or none as I don't believe that with your regimen (assuming you are taking dutasteride) flutamide/spironolactone/revivogen will make any difference.

If you are using fluatamide in the evening perhaps you should use presc. proxiphen to the evening. You are applying spintrapC and proxiphen close to each other in the AM and none in the PM.

Hi techprof, thanks for the reply. While i beleive dutasteride will work great and inhibit DHT to a great extent i also beleive that other androgens like testosterone and androstenediol can cause hairloss so thats why i think the daily dose of proxiphen containing spironolactone will help, and the flutamide at night will help ensure that androgens are blocked just to be safe. I think im going to add the second application of Spin Trap C at night 10 minutes before the Xandrox 5 with Retin-A. This way i have all angles covered and spaced out properly thoughout the day to ensure 24 hour effectivness in all areas. As you can tell i want to kick this male pattern baldness in the *** :)

Thanks techprof for all your help!

Hi techprof! I remember you saying something about mabye mixing an application of Spin Trap C with Xandrox 15. Do you think it would be okay to mix 1ml of Spin Trap C with 1ml of Xandrox 15 OR Xandrox 5 with Retin-A? Its a pain applying all these topicals so i was wondering what you think about combining 1ml of each and applying them? Thanks!

Here is Dr.Lee's reply when i asked him about mixing Spin Trap C together with either Xandrox 5 or 15. What are your opinions on this techprof?

"I advise against mixing either of the minoxidil formulas with Spin Trap C. It can make the Xandrox formulas ineffective by causing a precipitation of minoxidil and zinc compounds. Furthermore, whatever foreign mixture you add to any Xandrox formulas will dilute the concentration of the minoxidil and azelaic acid defeating the intended concentrations"

What do you think about his statements techprof? I really wanted to mix 1ml of Spin Trap C and 1ml of Xandrox 15 right before application to safe time and hassle. Thanks!

Stax,
I don't buy Dr. Lee's answers.
Dr. Proctor mixes components of spintrapc with spironolactone, minoxidil and many other things in his prescriptino proxiphen.
Dr. Lee does not believe in SODs and will advise against it.

In the past he used to have a standard reply saying that apply anything else 15 mins or 1 hour after his xandrox or other products saying it will serve as occlusive layer and increase absorption of minoxidil.

I don't think azelaic acid matters for the fight against dht. if xandrox 15 works better it is because of high concn. of minoxidil and very high ethanol content.

I suggest that you apply spintrapC wait for 15 mins, then apply xandrox 15.

I come home from the office wash my hair, apply spintrapC (I massage with it).
I brush my teeth and microwave some milk for coffee, then apply minoxidil.
I know that it is a pain to go to the bathroom 10 times a day for each topical. When I asked Dr. Proctor, he says he probably does not matter.

I am getting hair transplant with Dr. Arwind Poswal (Delhi, India) on June 24. I am getting 3500 grafts (strip) and going to use only one application of minoxidil, one application of proxiphen-N + dutasteride + nizoral after that.
I am tired of applying the topicals and waiting for the results

stax, if you want to mix, mix it just before you apply (1 ml + 1ml only ) as opposed to mixing two bottles.

Hi techprof, thanks for the reply. Yeah i dont understant how adding anything to xandrox will dilute the concentration of the minoxidil, imo its not that different from applying them 10 minutes apart because the spin trap isnt even dry on my scalp in 10 minutes. I dont want to be applying topicals more than 3 times per day anymore as its a real pain in the butt and makes me think even more about hairloss. I hope mixing just 1ml of Spin Trap C and Xandrox 15 right before application will work just aswell as using them seperately. What do you think of my new simplified regimen?

Internals:
-dutasteride 0.5mg daily
-Milti Vitamin
-MSM
- Naturals (Flax Lignans, Green Tea Extract, DIM, Glisodin,Ect) for health.
- Arimidex 0.25mg twice weekly - If gyno symptoms occur.

Topicals:

- Re-Mox 4 lotion - after shower, contains ( 15% Minoxidil, 0.25% Tretinoin, 1.5% Azelaic Acid, 0.1% Hydrocortisone, 0.25% Progesterone)

- 1ml Spin Trap C mixed with 1ml Xandrox 15 - before bed
-Prescription Proxiphen - 15 minutes later

Shampoo: Alternate Nizoral 2% and Nano Shampoo

Mabye amazing laser comb 3 times per week.

What do you think of this new simple regimen?

Also i wish you the best of luck with your hair transplant. Thanks!

techprof, also do you pre-mix retin-a with regular xandrox 5? I tried xandrox 5 with retin-a and it burnt the hell out of my scalp and left it red like a burn for a couple days. Do you think it would burn as bad if i mixed some sort of other retin-a with xandrox 5 or 15? Thanks!

That regimen sounds very effective stax, but im not sure if i'd call it simple :p Surely, that'd give your male pattern baldness one hell of a knock :p

One point though, if your are applying the proxiphen 15 mins after the xandrox, is your hair still wet? Isnt proxiphen supposed to be applied to a freshly soaked head so your skin is moist?

Though i think dr p said this wasn't strictly necessary.

By the way, how is your regimen coming along? You dont have the "my regimen" button going so i don't know when you began, but have you had any thickening... or regrowth... or maintainence?

stax,
that is a solid regimen.
I get scalp burns if use retin A. I some times use 0.2ml xandrox with retin A with 1 ml minoxidil.

You are using 15% minoxidil twice a day. This might give serious side effects.
please apply prescription proxiphen after washing hair on a clean scalp. this is your best product and dont apply it after xandrox 15. xandrox 15 sticks to the scalp and nothing will get through it.

thanks for yor wishes on my hair transplant.

Hi techprof and Felk, thanks for the replies and help. I ordered some dutasteride from somebody but it got confiscated by customs or something so i just re-ordered some from QHI and i should get it by next week. Thats why i havent filled out the regimen tab because i havent officially started it yet and before that my regimen has been all over the place trying to figure out the right one. So i'll fill it out as soon as my dutasteride arrives. Thanks!

Hi techprof, sorry to bother you, i just wanted to ask you a question regarding the Phenytoin if you dont mind.

Can i add Phenytoin in the amount you suggested in Dr.Lee's regular 5% Minoxidil with Retin-A? Could i also add Phenytoin to his Xandrox 15? If Phenytoin can be added to the Xandrox 15 aswell then i would add 18x100 mg capsules because Xandrox 15 is 125ml right? So you notice any changes to the way Dr.Lee's minoxidil leaves your hair when you add the Phenytoin? Does it leave any white residue on your hair? Thanks so much.
