Question for Nizoral Users

Hey all,

I've been using nizoral 1% for about 7 months (in addition to other stuff) and I believe I have been making slow and steady progress. Last week I switched to using nizoral 2% and my hair looks markedly worse than it has in months: dry, brittle, and much more see through. The only thing in my regimen that i changed was the nizoral so it is likely the culprit. I know that a week is too soon for me to actually have less hair (and i haven't seen increased shedding) so its purely a texture issue.
Have any of you made a similar switch from nizoral 1% to 2% and seen a similar effect? Is it something that will rapidly stabilize and I should ride it out; or should I just stick with the 1%? Thank you in advance.

nizoral 2 can be more drying to your hair than the 1%. Limit the 2% to 2x weekly. Use in conjunction w/ a quality conditioner.

Thanks for the response guys.

I was using the 1 percent mon/wed/fri; started the same for 2%.

So you recommend I stick with the 2 percent and use it twice a week as opposed to me going back to 1% three times a week?

I'm leaning towards going back to 1%, as the ill effects to the appearance of my hair happened after just the 1st application of the 2%. Could be I just don't tolerate the 2% shampoo mix well (its obviously comprised of different stuff than the 1% as one is pink and the other blue as well as having different consistencies).

Thanks.
