What are your feelings on spironolactone? How much is backed scientifically and do you think its a good addition to the big three? Thanks.
Bryan said:There is no doubt that spironolactone has antiandrogenic properties. That's been well-demonstrated in scientific studies with both humans and animals. However, I feel that topical spironolactone in humans is only a fairly mediocre antiandrogen. It works, but it's nothing to write home about. However, it may well be useful as an addition to the "big three", for those who are refractory to the standard treatments.
