i have read repeatedly that it takes 6-12 months to see any regrowth, but never have i seen anywhere how quickly propecia becomes active in just stopping further hairloss. does this also take 6-12 months of use or is it more immediate?? does anyone have any idea?

It differs from person to person. Some,I've read, starting seeing a loss of hair in a couple of months and some it takes up to 10 months.I've been on it for 3 months now with no change.....that doesn't mean it will be the same for you.

yes this is a "we just dont know" answer.

if you're lucky, you'll lose less hair in 3 months
if you're not as lucky, you'll lose less hair in 12 months
if you are really unlucky, you wont lose less hair.

for me, after the 2 to 4 weeks of taking propecia, my hairloss stoped. my scalp continued oily and unhealthy for 3 or 4 months but nizoral did its job. only on the 9th month i noticed new hairs poppin out.
the results may differ so there's no straight answer really, like they say.
