Question about my male pattern baldness

My hair line is a NW2ish, except near the front of my head (near my hairline) there is a (backwards) U of thin hair. I have no idea what it's called and would like to find out. Does anyone know?

u have male pattern baldness...that's my speculation..post some pics and we will be able to comment more...
