I am experiencing some shedding after 3 weeks on minoxidil and .25 finasteride. It's not bad. When I combed my hair for 10 minutes, I got around 15-20 hairs. However, this is a lot for me. My hair thinning really snuck up on me at age 38 to the point where I can't deny it's not happening. I believe a few factors played into this.
1. I'm not super vain. I don't spend lots of time looking at my hair.
2. It's "diffuse" thinning. No pattern
3. Not super obvious. When dry, you can't tell really unless you focus or inspect it.
4. It was extremely slow. I'm 38. My dad had similar hair in my age when he was 23.
5. I NEVER HAD HAIR SHEDDING. I always was shed so little. My exes would shed all over the place, yet you'd never find my hair. Even when it was long.
My question is. Is my thinning due to "miniaturization?" Should I stress out I'm losing hair for the first time or ride it out? It's a bit stressing to me right now.
