Question about finasteride and body hair

I was just wondering - for those who experienced a decrease in body hair whilst on finasteride (that they put down to the finasteride) - did the hair simply start falling out or.. HOW exactly did it thin? As I want to know what to look out for in my OWN body hair (it increased rapidly since my scalp hair has been decreasing) to tell when things are moving in the right direction.

Thanks :)

I have a few dark hairs that have been growing on my shoulder/back and the back of my arms (only I notice them, it's only a few) but since starting finasteride they have gotten thinner and less dark...there are only a couple now as opposed to 10-15 overall.

Sadly my beard is not having this problem. I have always had a full beard and it seems to be growing faster than ever the past 2-3 months.

haha aw well :) - surprising really as DHT is supposed to be the facial hair promoter too, but hey we're guys so we're going to have a lot of androgens flying around regardless!

Why look for changes before they have happened or might never happen? Isn't that just madness?

Unless you turn into Harry from the Henderson's over night then just relax... and if you do wax it off and stick it to your head.

Life is to short to start looking for trivial sh@t like this before it happens.

Merry xmas

Opps my bad I thought you said increase instead of decrease but it still is the same thing in terms of looking for things that might not happen and if it does most folkwould take that as an added bonus.

After several months, I noticed that the body hair grows more slowly and also grows in thinner. Doesn't seem like there is actually less hairs, just less density.

Thanks :)

As you know I'm not on finasteride, but the reason I asked was to understand how my body is likely to respond if I manage to decrease my androgenic activity in the way I am attempting, as I wasn't sure if I would be masking my actual hair loss with minoxidil or Eucapil by then! Thanks though guys :)
