Question About 5% Rogaine Foam

Hey guys I've been using 5% Rogaine liquid and it has been working great for me, no irritation, no flakes and I have no problems with it running off my face (I use the applicator itself to spread it around and it never touches my fingers). I'm thinking about switching to the foam because I've heard it's more effective. When it comes to applying the foam to the hairline how do you know if you're using too much or too little, 1ml. (you want it to last 1 month), is it easy to spread? The quick drying worries me, how can something absorb that fast, why doesn't the liquid absorb that fast? :dunno: Have you had better results with foam or liquid, opinions are much appreciated, thanks! :)

Don't mean to hijack, but i have another question about rogaine foam. Is the foam supposed to be rubbed in? If so, wouldn't you be absorbing the quick-drying rogaine through your fingers leading to more possible side-effects (water-retention, shortness of breath, etc.)?

Its a toss up really and people have had mixed opinions.

The liquid takes a long time to dry and some people have irritation issues.

The foam dries incredibly fast and no irritation problems but is a mess.

Its supposed to be rubbed in and if you do some reading you'll find its very rare to have side effects. After all this stuff is sold over the counter.

That's good to know. I had heard that it's okay to leave on without rubbing though, what would happen if you hadn't rubbed it in? Btw. Thanks for answering my question cassin I will stick with the liquid.

I've been using ebay for years, costs me about $50 with shipping costs for 3 month supply.

You live in Canada? No problems with customs?

Yes, I'm in Calgary, and honestly I don't pay a single cent over the total price, no customs, just the shipping price along with the rogaine price.

that's awesome, I guess you don't need a prescription for 5% after all. Still the pharmacy where I live said I needed a prescription, weird.

You do need a prescription for in store rogaine, ordering online you don't.
