Is there somebody here who has stopped his hairloss and maintain his hair without help of finasteride pills using just topical antiandrogens (spironolactone, fluridil etc.)???

I ask because I have been on finasteride since august 2003 and I am thinking to stick with it any more as I have been having acne as I was 16 all the time on finasteride ( I am 28 ) and I feel my sex drive is comming down last months ( i do not want to scare anybody here, maybe it is for my age, but who knows!!).

In general I do not feel good taking these hormones. I think it might be dangerous game even if it has been aproved ny FDA.

I ordered some Xandrox 15 and regular quick drying minoxidil from Dr. Lee (btw. his service is great, my delivery arrived just one week after ordering online from his site, it is very good delivery time if you consider that I live in Czech Republic and that I choosed the most cheepest way of shipping:))

Anyway I am planning to buy some fluridil and drop finasteride...

Thank you Stax, I have already been to this site and the comments sound good. I think I will order some Fluridil very soon. I will give it 6months and then I will see. Maybe the azelaic acid in Xandrox15 may also help a little:)

If you order Eucapil from menspharma.com, you need to know that the solution is up to 90% alcohol. They use the alcohol for their transport system. Many people have experienced irritation from using this. If you have a sensitive scalp do not use it. Topical flutimide is available from lipoxidil.com, but I don't know much about it. However, they encapsulate the flutimide or spironolactone for better targeted drug delivery. It seems to me to be a much more efficient way of utilizing these anti-androgens.

Thank you for your input Viperfish!!

However I will try the usual Fluridil at first as I live in Czech Republic and can just go and buy it in the drugstore.

I think my scalp is in good condition even after using the Xandrox15 so far so I hope that Fluridil will not irritate it too much.

Anyway in case I find the Fluridil not convient for me I will try the product you mentioned.

Thank you!

Hey popscene, yeah i forgot too mention that there is a high alcohal content in Fluridil and some people's scalp's cant handle it, but some people cant even handle regular minoxidil aswell. Also they added grapeseed extract to Fluridil not too long ago to help with the irritation. I personally use 2ml of Xandrox 15 on my whole scalp and im fine.

Let me know how the fluridil works out for you! I have seriously considered getting myself some, but the stories about how rough it is on the scalp have made me shy away. I have had problems with irritation from revivogen and feel that fluridil (eucapil) would be a problem for me. Oh well, maybe I'll give it a shot within the next couple of months anyways!

Wow, I hadn't realized that they stock fluridil in the drug stores over there. I bet it costs much less than what online vendors are charging customers in the U.S. One of the reasons I've never bought any is because I don't trust that these overseas "hair loss" pharmacies aren't ripping people off.

Would you please tell us how much fluridil costs you at the store?

Thanks.

Yeah that's a good point. I believe Eucapil from menspharma is around $54 dollars per month, if your in the USA.

I have just ordered it by phone on my local drugstore. It will be available for me there on Monday and the price is 900,-CZK = 38,-USD = 30,-EUR per month supply according to actual exchange rates.

Thanks man! So I guess it's $16 more to purchase it through menspharma. Of course, they did add grape seed oil, but I doubt that would jack the price up much more. Anyways, keep us posted!

Huh? Eucapil is Eucapil. Unless they're breaking open the ampules, the Eucapil should be the same from any source.
