Its good to be an overachiever but in the US when people brag about their attributes and skills it generally does not go over very well. I think it is looked at differently in Europe and South America and especially Asia when someone can claim to be the best and get praise for it. Also if you cannot do what you say or look as good as you say, will get flogged terribly in the US. In the US actions speak louder than words.

No offense to you Celtic because I think your look suits you but for others what is with this Stone Cold Steve Austin Goatee and shaved head muscle look? It is so damn over exposed it is not even funny. This look has been around since 1992 and is way old, it just shows the limited options guys have when they shave their heads- Unfortunately far to many look like Cancer patients, adding muscles and a goatee help eliviate this. But it has unfortunately become a popular look. It was original when Stone Cold invented it15 years ago- now it is just way to tired and outdated.

I agree with Hopewas-

I wish people had balls like Vin Diesle and Jason Stratham to go out and do their own thing rather than copy an old look.

I considered going this way several times but never went through with it for the fact that I wanted to keep my individuality. If I did this I was fearful that I would be stereotyping myself into a certain group and people would see me for that. It is an intimadating look that does not go over very well in proffesional atmospheres- works great in Authoratative positions though bouncer, bodybuiler, Cop, bodyguard, etc...

To be honest I have not seen to many guys who can pull off the shaved head look, I'm talking totaly shaved- to me they look like chemo recipients. I do feel if you leave just a shadow around your head that works better. Shaving ones head excentuates facial features and that could be disasterous- look at Jay- Zee.

hey

ya, I hear ya..couple quick things..I was only adding MORE about the fitness part to defend what I initially wrote...it really doesn't matter. I don't think of myself as an overachiever by any means.

second thing: I am American...born and raised, family been here since 16oos bro'....haha...proud Scots-Irish, Southernor and gentleman !

Vin Diesal has hair in one movie...looks like its normal to me. Other times he has patches of thinning. He's ugly either way ! :) (But totally "cool")

I found I like the shaved look, although with the success I am having with minoxidil, soon I hope to let it grow out enough to just keep it "high and tight" with a bit on top and closely shaved on the sides, without having the big spot on the back.

I thought you said you were Irish or Western European- Ha ha tricker, you fooled me.

Not wragging on you as I said you pull it off nicely, I just think that look has been overdone. as Ahrnold would say Vin diesel is one Ughly Mudda Fucka.

man there are some really dumb posts here... HE HE HE..... yeah im psycho.... anyway now that that's past..... balding sucks so bad.. i congratulate this dude on his look because it works "fairly well"..... and i think the goatee option is pretty much the only thing shaven headed guys with lighter hair can do to not look like a cancer patient.... i hope by the time im bald i will be able to grow facial hair.... unfortunately im only 23 so i can't really grow much yet lol..... uh yeah.... i want to work out and get fit and get bigger too..... then maybe i can fatten up my face.... otherwise my head is already way too long and i will look like a freak when i go bald.... blah blah... yeah i really had nothing useful to say... sorry.. peace

how do you gain weight in the face anyway???? anyone know??

Tie a rope around your neck and tighten it everytime you eat, so the food stays in your head.

 ahhh, you bastard. you ruined everything by saying that!!! You are obviously not satisfied. And you are totally concerned with your hairloss. I thought you were totally solid and secure about being bald.

Good point

Haha, Good point my friend..and I have actually thought about that, and you know what it is?

You know when people are sick, like with cancer, and obviously it sucks, but at one point, cancer aside, the person says "Hell, I'm just sick of being sick all the time?" Well...

It's like I can handle doing the shaved thing for the rest of my life, but now, more than just not liking being bald (or in my case, thinning), I actually miss the ability to have a different look sometimes...like, I might even shave my head now and then if I had all my hair back, but I miss the ability to just sometimes, have a different style, etc. Now that might seem contradictory, but what I mean is, I have gotten "used" to this look for three years.

But sometimes, I am like, DAMN, I get tired of always having to shave it every day (cuz you got to keep it slick to avoid any growth to start which shows the thinning areas)...

ANyhow, like I said, if the minoxidil keeps working, I probably will simply add the very short-haired look to my general styling and continue to shave it with a razor once a week or more.
