Now on own government is testing haircloning from stem cells and its a' workin'. This is the real CURE for baldness with no donor scars, original density, everything you have dreamed of (unless your a transplant saleman or a transplant Doctor, then its armageddon for you and you'll be selling nose jobs in the future).

What is the real signifigance of this study,in terms of bringing about the cloning cure?

This study shows that the National Insitutes of Health has experimented with using dermal papilla and outer root sheath cells, put them in culture for 8 weeks and then re-injected them into a scalp. The inject sites were marked with a dye to demarcate them. After 4 weeks NEW HAIRS WITH SEBACEOUS GLANDS WERE SEEN. And at 8 weeks, their growth was even bigger and stronger.

Conclusin, the National Institiutes of Health have successfully gotten dermal papilla and Outer Root Sheath cells, cultured them in a lab to make more of them, and re-introduced them into bald areas of the scalp to make BRAND NEW HAIRS. The problem with transplantation, is that your hippocratic wreath can get as thin as Dr. Phil's, meaning ya' dont have enough hair up there for a full head of hair. Cloning will give you a FULL head of hair out of just a few hairs on your head.

This experiment proves it works, and that Intercyclex and Anderans, the leading compaines in this area of research proboably arent all that far away from making baldness a thing of the past. They are estimating a new product on market by 2010.

Michael, I think you just made me reconsider committing suicide. This is great news! I think I'll stick around for another 5-10 years.

I think Aplunk1 was just using a figure of speech. He's got too much going for him to be serious about something like that.

Hey Michael this research is indeed very encouraging. HECK, maybe the answer is closer than we all think after all. :hairy:

What exactly is the product that is targeted to be released in 2010 and how does it work?

You know the other obvious concern is how will this HM method create a natural appearing hairline for guys that haved lost everything on top? How will the angulation of the hairs be if and when it does start growing out of the scalp. I mean this just is not going to happen on its own. :hairy:

Gillenator,
I imagine men will wind up wanting a professional follicular unit surgeon creating their hairline (I proboably would) so that it would be faded right.

A almost ridiculous scenario could happen if cloning works super well from an aesthetic standpoint, and we both know what it is, and Im sure youve seen it in some scalp reduction patients. Guys wanting hairlines that are too low. Making them look like a damn monkey. The old scalp reductions (weve both seen these pictures) had guys with ultra thick hair right on the front that ethnically speaking, caucasoids (Indo-Europeans) hardly ever have.

Anyhoo, Im glad the National Institutes of Health has been able to replicate what Intercyclex and Anderans have stated they have done in their research. I want baldness to be over for men. Nothing, in my opinion, ROUTINELY causes as much pain in men and women. Especially young males. We have read these forums to death and seen the teens and early twenties guys who are heartbroken (and know they have NW7 in their futures). I'll be elated for all of them if a real cure for these 5 or so unfortunate genes are found.

I'll throw the biggest part in the world...

I'll move to Africa and work on helping AIDS victims...

If I had a full head of hair, I would give myself to the world... I know I'd be happy with myself. I'd really make a lot of changes in my life. I'd hold myself to this promise, too. I swear it.

Still far away, but good news I can't wait for this to come out!

Michael, I totally agree. And I would like to share something else. Yes it is groundshaking for us men to lose our hair, but it's even worse for women and children to experience male pattern baldness and other forms of hairloss. It can be absolutely devastating so I can't wait for HM, cloning, ANYTHING that can bring everyone's hair back!

Did you guys see that segment on Dateline a few weeks ago regarding a young girl who sustained third degree burns to her scalp? I think she was about twelve years old. But man, the way she got teased and virtually harrassed endlessly by other kids! Sometimes I am just appauled by how cruel and insensitively brutal some humans can be.

But the great part to all of this was the Dateline story of how Dr. Jeffrey Epstein helped this young girl without charge with several sessions of hair restoration and now she looks so much better although there is more growth coming for her. But obviously it's situations like these where HM can virtually save peoples lives and enable them to move on. :)

Isn't this great news?

Why aren't people making a bigger deal about this apparent breakthrough? It seems pretty promising to me, what have any of you guys heard or feel about it?

Michael Barry started this thread and conveyed a fair amount of information in his posts. He also included a link denoting some of this research. IMO, there have been more strides made in this area of technology in the past three years than the past three decades. When will it be a reality? That's anybody's guess!
