psa test?

Hey

So I am 29 and I've been on propecia for maybe 5 years now. A doctor I just got a prescription from also wants me to take a psa test. I've read some negative things about the test, and some people saying it isnt worth getting done at 29 and to wait untill your 40 or 50. The other doctor I usually go to has never said she has any problem with propecia or ever mentioned a test. What do you guys think? Should I bother getting this test?

If she told you there's nothing to be concerned about she prob wants you to take the psa test to see how your prostates holding up during treatment... Considering it probably will have some effect on your prostate (not a negative one) after 5 years..
