Here's the answer from the expert Dr Proctor himself - (copied and pasted from my email)... The Dr always seems to answer things in shorthand...
It seems I was slightly misinformed in regards to retin-a and prox-n having a reaction............. Proctor answers in bold
Hi Dr Proctor
Just had a few quick questions which I was hoping you could clarify.
I use prox-n and proxiphen daily and also use standard minoxidil.
Is it true that minoxidil containing retin-a will react with either prox-n or proxiphen as I would like to add this to my regime?
This is not true. Possibly somebody got confused by the fact that longer term, minoxidil destroys Retin-A. But applying them together is OK. I am not aware of any problem with using them with our products.
I was hoping to add one more growth stimulant in apple poly to my regime as well, do you foresee an issue with including this product as well and how would you recommend application of the aforementioned 3 topicals? i.e. how far apart etc.
Most likely, no problems. The order probably does not matter.
Dr Proctor
Davidoff - if you're getting sides from minoxidil and want growth stimulents -Prox-n, apple poly and even throw in some retin-a as your alternative.
