I have used both.
Prothick, in addition to covering up bald spots, has an ingredient that REALLY thickens up the rest of your hair. It really makes a difference. The only things worng are that it can be messy as it is a spray and its a bit awkward using on the front hairline. But, it will not come off in water or rain or pool. You need to really shampoo it out. (And clean your shower more often!!!)
Dermatch has a nifty foam applicator that allows you great precision in applying it...great for the hairline area. But, it doesnt thickin up exisiting overall hair. Dermatch will last you a LONG time though, so its very economical.
Currently I have been using Prothick, as my hariloss has taken a turn for the worse, unfortuately.
If you got the cash, I would get both in the same color and experiement. Its the only way, as every guy is different.
