Hi guys...I'm using propecia for 8 months but now i started using proscar...but when i opened my package i notice that the proscar pills have a irregular form (like a irriegular triangle) so its very difficult to split them in 4 same parts...so i am asking you to give me a solution for my problem and my question is : the parts has to have the exactly the same size?and you can give me a form to split them in 4 same parts? thanks for your time...and good luck :D

Split it in fifths so that you get the recommended dose of 1mg.( If you lose some dust its ok). Use a utility knife on an open book. It is relatively soft and your pill will split easily without crushing. Make sure that this book will not be read by a pregnant female.

Use the money you use to buy Proscar to buy Finpecia (made by Cipla) instead and save yourself the hassle of splitting up Proscar.

This may be just cognitive dissonance (as I have 3 months worth of finpecia on order), but I would be slightly concerned that cutting the 5mg tablet into 4/5 means that its 'open' for up to 3/4 days. It also means that you would lose a lot of the tablet in dust and bits that didn't break properly

Chop pills in to five, select the smallest piece and ingest this and all the dust and bits from cutting, put the remaining 4 parts into an air/light tight container.

Mr.Shiny has a point here. While Proscar pills are normal sized pills, the traditional fincar pill is relatively big and can be easily cut into smaller pieces. Despite the huge cost for shipping, Cipla is able to maintain competitive prices.

Actually generic proscar is notoriously difficult to split, many people have had problems. The price difference between Finpecia and Fincar is not so significant as the price difference between Propecia and Proscar. The very fact he was asking about splitting the pills suggested he had a problem would you not agree? So to solve that problem you suggest he buy some pills which are even more difficult to split than Proscar? My suggestion for him to use Finpecia instead of Proscar was a very sensible one and I suggest you THINK before rolling your eyes at me. :-x

I've noticed that both Radio and SE-Freak have been gone a long time.

BTW, this price is only for 60 pills, still pretty cheap. And it can be found at http://www.popularchemist.com. I've purchased from them in the past, and my experience was extremely good.

Thx for the info on where to get it at that price :)
I just received my 1st batch in the mail today, so now I've officially started my fight against hairloss.
Found that cutting the pill in 8ths (which I figured would be a good starting dose) is pretty easy using a scalpel. Little to no dust after cutting a pill.
