Proscar and its Side Effects ! permanent?

I wanted to start taking propecia. My hairline is starting to recede in the M shape manner with noticable loss at the right temple. left temple isnt that bad and frontal thinning.

If i'm right i'll need around 60 tablets of proscar to last me a year?

Need advice regarding dosage. Should i take half a pill every three days or 1/4 every day.

Another thing. The side effects. I've heard of side effects such as breast enlargement, watery semen, and sexual difficulties. Are these side effects rare? and if so are they (breast enlargement, sexual diff) permanent or do they go away after you stop treatment?.

As far as I've read, all side-effects go away after discontinuing use, and in some cases the side-effects stop after a while if people continue use. Also, note that in the propecia trials, placebo users experienced about half the rate of side-effects as the propecia users, such as sexual dysfunction.. so some of it is definitely psychological.

another thing i dont get...on most of these forums i read "was on blah for blah years and couldnt take sides anymore so i quit"...do the sides start building up or something with years of use? i've seen so many people quit the medication after years cause they "cant take it anymore"..are the sides that bad?...and what rare! almost everybody on the forums complains.

thinking of getting fincar, half a pill every 3 days. is that ok? thats around 0.8 mg finasteride/day. i've heard even 0.5/day is efficient. need advice on this too.

my skin doesnt flake...doesnt itch (nothing that t/gel doesnt take away) ..should i use nizoral too?

might use minoxidil for a little regrowth.

I agree alot of these sides are psychological... i have been on Proscar for over three years and maybe have experienced some of these sides in minor form, but i was uneducated about them at the time... didn't really know they existed with the drug, therefore they really didn't bother me. Only looking back makes me think perhaps i had the sides... but they really are so minor if anything. The best part is i think the finasteride has had a good effect... so im a happy camper.

Proscar tablets you should cut into 4 and take them four days in a row... miss the fifth. Or alternatively just take a 1/4 tablet every day which is what i do.
