Hey,

I'm looking to start a regime, just to maintain what I have and thicken it up and bit.

Right now I decided I want to go on proprecia, nizoral but is there anything else, like a dht blocker I should use to kinda put the proverbial nail in the coffin hehe.

Also I don't really wanna touch minoxidil.

Also here is the most recent pic of my hair, I know its small but u'll get the idea lol

Thanks

Well you're right to avoid minoxidil because, you know, YOU AREN'T GOING BALD.

lol seriously, wtf? Do you have any other pics? Because your hair looks completely fine.

Lol, that pic is a little decieving if I had a digicamm yself I would take more revealing ones, but i've been actually shedding for like 2 1/2 years, under a strong light I can see diffuse thinning going down, pretty much the entire middle of my scalp. The way my hair is now I can style it pretty nice, but I just kinda want the shedding to stop.

heh ok, well if you're certain you're losing hair then propecia + nizoral is all you need. there are other (topical) dht blockers such as spironolactone and eucipil, but i wouldn't bother adding anything like that unless propecia turns out not to work for you. really.

Propecia is quite expensive so you might want to consider buying Proscar and cutting the pill into 1/4s or 1/5s as it's so much cheaper.

you're lucky you still have your hairline matey :)

this is why I always use my worst pics. When you post your best pics its like youre trying to hide it for us too, youre on a hairloss board asking for advice, you should try to show your problem so people can help you better.

re:

Ya man, I think it is always up to the individual to conclude whether they are balding but there are cases where people overreact. The pic you posted indicates a perfect hairline and I don't see much thinning but an overhead shot would have been better to determine if you are losing density.
Anyways, if you are interested in increasing density and keeping what you have, then I would certainly say finasteride.
If anyone tells you to use minoxidil they are crazy. Hold of on minoxidil and use finasteride for at least 12 months then re-evaluate the condition of your hair. If you want more growth then add the minoxidil then.

Your options today are pretty limited. You have propecia and rogain. Anything else will most likely be you wasting your money and losing more hair. Thats not to say some treatments are not worth trying. Most are a waste of money, but spironolactone among others might have worth

wow man, I don't think that todays treatments are going to have any effect on that head of hair, as you probably already know. judging from that pic I would guess that you are in your mid to late 50's?! the best thing to do now is learn to except being bald because you will soon have no choice.

ok sarcasm mode over, dude, you don't need anything because I see no signs of hairloss to speak of.

With your current hairloss situation i would strongly recommend looking into a regimen of 300 mg a day of cyproterone acetate, followed by a small dose of about 150 mg a day of oral spironolactone.

If that doesnt work, I would strongly recommend that you look into some form of adult castration. Your situation is so terribly bad that you need to do whatever you can to save it.

O Dear I didn't realize I was so severe :p

But on a serious note i'm also looking into adding Nano shampoo, would that be a good idea?
