Which is more advisable?
Propecia(1 mg finasteride.) or Proscar(5 mg finasteride.)?
Is the 5 mg effect negative for the hair?

they have the same active ingredient it doesnt matter. you wouldnt take 5mg of proscar a day you split it into quarters.

proscars cheaper. thats why some people take that and split it but theyre the same thing. ther active ingredient - finasteride is in both. people take it in larger doses for prostate cancer
and its marketed in a smaller dose as propecia for hairloss.

..god i know my sh*t.

There is no use to take 5mg finasteride if you're under 50, just you will increase the chance to get side effects

Ian Curtis? Back from the dead, eh? And suffering from hairloss!

People who take Proscar (usually) don't take the full 5mg. They cut the pill into quarters and take 1.25mg. It's much cheaper. Costs me about £5 per month that way; instead of the ridiculous £30 or so for Propecia.

Now get back to work on another Joy Division album.
