propecia shed

i'm on my 7th week of propecia and have been expereincing an intense shed in the past 4 weeks.. (noticable changes in the front/vertix). i'm debated whether or not to stop using it for a week or two and see if my hairloss stops.. (i have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks, and have to look my best.. what do you recommend i do?

How noticeable? Major thinning?

I'm not an expert, but I thought a shed was a good sign that the drug was doing its thing.
