I got my first shed a week and a half back at the back/top of my head. The scalp has been in great condition thanks to Nizoral!!!!

I don't use it much though, a few drops mixed with head & shoulders does the trick.

How ever I am concerned why the hairs have not grown back. It has thinned after this shed and as much as you read about shedding you have to be in that position to feel concerned.

Does the hair grow back straight away or can it take up to a month. I am thinking about giving up propecia in 3 months. Just feel it has accelerated my baldness 2 fold.

In the mean time I am keeping my scalp clean as possible. Washing once every two days.

I don't use minoxidil as rogain foam gave my head such a itch that it was unbearable to live.
I just use propecia but kind of disappointed in it's results so far.

I had a nasty shed 10 months in on propecia - hair grows so slow so it will take 2 months or so for the re growth to be noticeable . Washing your every 2 days with that shampoo combo will be doing your hair and scalp no good , your scalp will be dry and your hair like straw ! Just use nizoral on it's own every 4 days . If minoxidil gave you headaches try women's minoxidil which is 2%

If your hair shed 1 & 1/2 weeks ago, it would be impossible to notice any regrowth whatsoever at this point. Hair just doesn't grow that fast. If it is a true propecia shed, I would give it AT Least 2-3 months before even starting to look for any regrowth.

is your regimen current? are you still taking minoxidil twice a day? drop the head and shoulders, one of the worst things you can put in your hair. Also add Nizoral.

Head & Shoulders bad? Citation needed for that, please.

I already say I use nizoral. I also said stopped minoxidil. The rogaine foam ripped the font part of my scalp to shreds with the itch and rash. I am on propecia.

I will stop H & S and go to a less hard shampoo "wash & Go"
