I am 23 and thinning on the temples, so I began propecia 6 months ago. Obviously I have had no noticeable difference yet, but I went through the decrease libido/limp dick thing and have been waiting for it to pass. It hasn't yet and I've been through about 4 months with those side effects. Will this pass or should it have passed by now if it was actually going to?
As for quitting propecia, what will happen now? Will I end up losing more hair that I would have had I never begun it or not? Help me cause I am a little apprehensive about quitting but sacrificing good sex is not an option here. Will the side effects go away? How long should it take?
Thanks for any advice

I quit propecia after around 7months. I do feel like it was working. It works better than any other hairloss treatment currently available. However, I didnt like the idea of internally modulating my hormones and I can say unequivocally that my sex drive improved after I stopped propecia. While I was on it I didnt have any "pronounced" side effects besides a slightly lowered quality of erections.

It took about 2-3 weeks for my old school sex drive to spring back to life. Since I've quit, I think I might have lost a little ground on the hairloss front but I've still been using minoxidil, nizoral, spironolactone, and xandrox. Since you only took propecia for 4 months, then you probably wont see a big change in your hair

it took 18 months for my libido etc to get back to where I felt it was.

As far as hair goes, my hairloss stayed the same and maybe even got a little better at certain times after quitting Propecia

It is likely that using L-Arginine, Yohimbe and Saw Palmetto will help you get back your spring faster.
