Propecia question

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new here and I know there are tons of similar questions already posted. I started proscar 1.25mg 3 1/2 months ago for a receding hairline and temple areas. My crown and everywhere else has no loss. Maybe a NW2.

I have some very small hairs (maybe only 5 or 6) that have started in the hairline but I am still noticing some recession of the hairline at the 3.5 month mark.

Is this normal to continue to see hairs disappearing in the hairline at this point? Any chance some acceleration may be occurring due to the proscar? At what point do you make the determination that the drug may or may not be helping?

Thanks in advance and like I said before I know there are similar topics out there.

In 12 months you will have an Ok idea if it worked or not. finasteride will not cause hairloss or accelerated hairloss. It may cause a short term shed which is usually considered a good sign.

Initial shedding can last like 5 months. Hopefully your hair loss will stop but all you can do is wait. Even if it does not stop finasteride is slowing down your hair loss.
