Hey guys...

I've been treating hairloss for almost a year now on minoxidil, and maybe the past 2 months started spironolactone... shampoos, used a lot of revivogen but now stick to nizoral as its much cheaper.

The minoxidil helped a bit but my hair is still slowly getting worse. I'm only 21 so i can't see it stopping anytime soon. :/

I'm about Norwood 2.5 moving into 3 territory. when it'l all become too obvious.... :S

I'm guna give the spironolactone cream a good while, with the minoxidil... hey i was able to hold it off a lil bit just with minoxidil so maybe adding spironolactone could stop it...

however, i am considering finasteride... I really dont want to touch it though...

the reason i'm worried about it is because well.... what was finasteride for in the first place? I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject but i beleive it was to make your balls smaller??? so how has it been optimised for hairloss??? Surely even if you get no sides, perhaps in 10-15 years your gunna have smaller testicles or god forbid, smaller penis?

has propecia's dosage been optimised so that this can't happen???

enlighten me :) I also train a lot and don't want finasteride to slow me down.

thanks guys, and hello HairLossTalk.com

You win, you are not too knowledgeable on the subject, lol

It shrinks your prostate and unless your a proffesional athlete it won't hurt your training as I can bench double my bodyweight at age 41 and I have been on finasteride since 1997

sorry i was misinformed! to treat enlarged or swollen prostate? so surely it will continue to shrink the prostate when it's at a normal size?
