Greetings forum!I live in Toronto Canada,23 years old heading to nw3.This Monday i have an appointment with my family doctor and i am very nervous.I am scared that he is going to refuse writing down the prescription for me cause i`m still young and because doctors dont want to risk prescribe a drug for you with so many side effects. What do you think?
I was considered a very attractive guy, with great succes on girls.I can;t see that anymore, obviously because my face doesnt look the same with thin hair ,***ed up hairline and ***ed up crown.I got hair left, but not much and i need finasteride to improve my hair quality, maybe a small regrowth, and try to keep what`s left on there until i find out a way to go for a hair transplant.
What do you think i should say to him so i can get the prescription?????

Plus IF i get the prescription i have 2 more stupid questions:
Does workout increase dht levels and stop finasteride`s action?
And,finasteride before bed or after i wake up?

I would appreciate your answers.Thank you

Back in 2003, my Doctor gave me a perscription for propecia literally 1-2 months after turning 18 years old. At 23 years old you are more than fine. The Doctor has a duty to warn you of side effects that can occur, but keep in mind the side effects are rare.

It really doesn't matter which time of day you take your pill. Just take it consistently at the same time of day if you can. You want to stabilize your hormones, and the best way to do that is to be consistent. Whatever time of day you think you are going to be able to remember to take the pill is what I would recommend.

I would increase my workouts while on finasteride. You are technically being proactive by taking finasteride to help you keep your hair. I would be even more proactive by working out more on top of it. It shouldn't have an effect on your dht, not one that would cause hairloss anyway.

As far as looks and women go, women like confidence. From my experience with online dating, ugly girls preferred hair on their men. The pretty ones didn't seem to care as much. Go figure. Either way, all girls care way more about personality and confidence then hair on your head. And even girls that say they prefer hair on their men can still end up falling in love with bald men and find them sexy. Nothing is impossible. You shouldn't be saving hair for women. Rather you should be trying to save your hair for yourself (and not because you think women will like you more). If that makes any sense.
