Howdy,

I've got the early signs of male pattern baldness, a receding hairline (recently noticable for the first time) and a little lost at the crown also. I'm about to start treatment but I don't know what on yet.

I'd like to try either finasteride or Minoxidil for a few months before maybe adding the other.

I'd almost made my mind up on trying finasteride as it seemed to have the best results but is there any point using it for a receding hairline? I went to the Propecia website yesterday and it says it is not proven for hair loss in the temples. :freaked:

Another thing I haven't heard much about is how easy Minoxidil is to apply? If I grow my hair a bit (it's still quite thick across the top) is it difficult to apply evenly? How much are you meant to put on?

Advice would be appreciated... :salut:

finasteride does work on the hairline, just better on the vertex
Minoxidil isnt too hard to apply- just 1ml twice daily to thinning areas
