First post here but been lurking for a while,
Anyway I am 19 years old and have a receding hairline probably just a NW2, no one would notice or comment atm. My mum's side is ok but there is a strong history of male pattern baldness on my dad's side. My dad himself is a NW4/5, this brings me to my first question.. how likely is it that I will follow a very similar balding pattern to him? Do father and son generally follow a similar pattern or is it impossible to predict?
I decided that I wanted to do something about it and got on proscar which I quarter daily, I've now been on it a week and I've felt no side effects whatsoever which is a relief. To get to the point I just wanted to ask how effective people genuinely find finasteride to be, do you think I have a good chance to maintain what I have for a while to come? I'm not really concerned with regrowth and don't expect it but wouldn't complain obviously
In a perfect world proscar would continue maintaining for me long enough for those lazy scientists to sort HM out
Anyways, cheers for any help/experience you guys can share with me.
