I've been thinning out slowly for the past 6 years since I was 21 years old.

But I only just found out about finasteride about 4 months ago.

I think they should advertise Propecia/finasteride more to make people aware of it so that they can jump on it as soon as they see hairloss.

It should be on TV\Magazines etc

Really?

As soon as I looked up hair loss online I found finasteride as the best thing to stop it. It just took me a while to make the decision to get on it (glad I did though)

Yeah exactly you went on a website to research it.
However I think it should be so well known that all men know about it.

Just like everyone knows to take Paracetamol for a headache, it should be that everyone who experiences hairloss would automatically know to take finasteride.

I think it has stabalised my hairloss, but then again who knows, my hairloss has been gradual, so we'll see how I look in 5 years.

I've been spoon fed ever since I was little that I was gonna lose my hair and that there's nothing I can do about it. My parents still don't think anything can treat it, they think they're all snake oils.

There seems to be a lot of people around who don't think there's anything you can do. And in my country Propecia isn't even approved yet (many doctors still prescribe it though), and it's also not legal to advertise for prescription meds.

Yep. And that's not the drug company's fault. It just isn't a huge selling point. Most dudes are losing hair not because they haven't tried to find anything but they just aren't willing to do anything about it.

That's why often its too late before they ever get on the big 3.
