propecia cursed my friday night

ok...finally...have reached the point where you can see my scalp even when hair is dry....i dont know when the !@#$ this propecia shed will go away...its made me bald, and i for one think i made a big mistake taking it. if i had a t.e and a "large number of hair were in the resting phase"...then this further t.e induced by propecia has fucked up my hair really bad. i seriously have no clue as to what to do with it now. my front has gone to sh*t, its so damn thin its almost as if i have no hair now, and i cant really cover up my diffused out vertex by combing hair over it any longer, it just looks really flat and messy...and the humidity exposes even more of my scalp..

washed hair before leaving my place, blocked my sink with almost 200 hair or more...then while brushing...another 50 or so fell off..its all over my neck..and my shoulders.

when the hell is this damn finasteride shed gonna go away??? its been one week? is it gonna bloody make me go bald before it starts working ...FROM SCRATCH?!.....

and why the hell is my hair thinner on the RIGHT!!...

should i stop taking propecia ?...its week 3..libido still zero...and shedding like a mofo

i wonder if i have a hormonal imbalance...i got my thyroid checked and that was ok...(t3, t4 and tsh)...

but...i dont have enough hair on my chest...its real thin hair on my chest...
and i have alot of hair on my legs?!....and then..my facial growth is extremely weird...the sides of my face have the least growth...the right and left side of my mouth has ZERO growth...and then suddenly the chin area and the mustache area has the most...so its less growth on the cheek..then it becomes zero growth in a very small area next to the mouth..then the 'french beard' area has hair....then my arms..my forearms have light hair...and my upper arm has zero hair...weird

*shrugs..maybe i have low testosterone? would that make sense...

i also have a high B.P for my age...i'm 22 and my b.p is usually 140/70 or 140/80 which cant be good... plus..higher than normal pulse. i cant seem to connect any of these to my diffuse vertex thinning.

I personally think it is normal and you are exaggerating, but in the off chance that you have in fact lost half your hair in 3 weeks roll you should check in with a dermatologist.

Even though this in-depth description of your body hair was unnecessary and unrelated to your scalp hair loss, I'd thought I'd follow-up by saying that it sounds exactly like a description of myself. Chest, legs, facial hair distribution, all similar. So there you go, nothing unusual about it.

and no, i'm not exagerating...my vertex has 50 % hair less than before i started finasteride/minoxidil three weeks ago...and losing upto a 100 hair upon starting treatment is normal?how is that good?..if you're already losing hair, this would only make it worse?...i mean...already thin..and then you start doubling the shedding..i was losing 40 before i took finasteride...now its a 100 AT LEAST / day...just wont stop falling. really hard to relax when you're balding and your shed doubles so all you see the entire day is hair.. hair when i'm eating, falling here there...hair in my car...hair on my shoulders and my neck, i keep feeling it there.

at this rate...the MAX i'll last is another month..after that..there'll be nothing to style...its just weird cause even the hair on my back seems to have gone thinner than before. there was so much of it before that i couldnt grab it in my hand. now, i can grab the entire bunch as if its nothing.

Slow down and breathe dude. It does sound like you might want to check with a good derm WHO KNOWS WHAT HE/SHE IS DOING. It just sounds like a bit much for a shed.

It DOES sound like youre over reacting and just fooling your mind into thinking that youve lost alsmot everything. what youre describing sounds pretty rare. But I'll take your word for itI've read about someone on here that was losing hair really fast . he called Rogaine..and they said that it was a very rare instance where it was having the reverse effect it was supposed to and told him to stop right away. Not ween off it...just stop. Its also possible that your having an aggresive case of male pattern baldness and a lot of your hairs just happen to be in the same part of the cycle. I htink the same thing happenned to me about 3 years before i started treatment. For what its worth..my hair looks WAY better than it did then..it started to look better even before the treatments. At any rate...i feel you should go see a specialist. If anyhting..it will give you peace of mind.

male pattern baldness didnt make me lose over a hundred hair per day. finasteride did. this is a t.e shed i'm going through as a result of finasteride since the past 3 weeks. and yes, its no coincidence that since 4 years i was losing around 40 hair a day max and the second i start taking finasteride i lose all over my head. i can do a t.e pull test for as long as i wish and i'd end up with hair in my hand.

You only just started Proscar. WTF do you expect? Some that shed badly see the best results...Read the sticky on shedding, it will make you feel better...Trust me i'm unemployed

Hey man, it might be possible that your having an adverse effect from finasteride use. I have heard your pacticular situation a countless number of times. Maybe get to a derm, but you can find better info here. If things have gotten that much worse ride it out for a little longer or stop using it. You need to make that choice on your own and I don't think we can give you a clear-cut answer.
