good lord, will everyone please stop saying everything is psychological?
maybe it makes you feel better to think everyone's making up symptoms, but to brush everything aside as psychological is absurd
look up the incidence/prevelance of somatoform disorders. it's nowhere near high enough to constitute the self-reports of 'unusual' (not really) side effects via finasteride
your side effects are most likely all due to the finasteride and NOT in your head. is it worth it though? probably for most people
Listen, I'm not brushing 'everything' off as being psychological when it comes to side effects from finasteride.
Heartburn and stomach complaints can be a very psychological ailment brought on by worry and stress - the worry anbd stress of male pattern baldness compounded by the worry and stress of taking finasteride, compounded by the worry and stress of reading posts on this site suggesting finasteride is incredibly bad for you and causes all sorts of problems, will most likely result in a case of heartburn or bad stomach etc.
However, when it comes to things like heartburn, indigestion, headaches, nausea, diarrhea etc. These are everyday ailments that can be caused by a huge range of everyday things.
The 'psychological' stand is maybe not correct in the sense that our minds are creating these ailments but since being regular on this site I see posts like this on an almost daily basis and 99% of the time we eventually find out they were not caused by finasteride.
I have been taking 1.25mg of Proscar for almost 9 months and I have never had a single side-effect.
I have had a cold, mild tonsilitis and the shits a few times in that period but so have a lot of the male population.
I want to set newbies minds' at ease whereas it seems some of you just want to scare the sh*t out of people when its not necessary.
