I am going to the doctor's in 1 week.

I am 27 years old I have been lossing my hair for about 2 years now. I have started Rogaine 5% Foam about 1 month ago.

I have also started the use of nizoral. shampoo 1 % cycled on and off with T-gel.

Before the use of the shampoo's my hair would fall out. I could pull and get maybe 5 or 6 at a time. Now after the use of these shampoo's I can pull and 0 hairs come out. Its amazing!

My question is. I am going to the doctors in 1 week. I am going to ask him about propecia. Since my hair is no longer falling out, should I use propecia? Does propecia help with regrowth and or texture of the hair?

Also. What are some of things I should ask my doctor? What are some reason's he could say no to me taking propecia?

I have heard the use of spironolactone cream work's good for regrowth? is this true?

MSM Does it speed up the process?

Thanks guys.

There shouldn't be any reason the doctor would say no, unless you are like many people who are paranoid about hair loss despite a healthy head of hair, have a different type of alopecia other than mail pattern baldness, or if something in your medical background that contraindicates use of propecia. If you really are a good candidate for the drug and the doctor still says no, then that particular doctor is just biased against the drug and doesn't prescribe it to anyone.

The best thing to do is to go to propecia.com and go to the link titled "Find a Doctor." This is a list of doctors in your area that have asked to be listed on the site because they commonly prescribe the medication. This is how I got my prescription. If your current doctor says no, I'd say that this should be your next step.
