If you'll notice, I didn't write in a very definitive manner. These were my observations over a period of three straight years taking Finasteride.
For instance, I've always weighed *precisely* the same amount, since around sixteen years of age. I have also always had a super high metabolism. Yet, while taking Finasteride, I've gained 15 pounds with a slight increase in body fat percentage -- according to my scale. And now suddenly, I'm able to make gains, and push out reps far past exhaustion in areas that were previously personal bests. And since I've been working out religiously since a teen, this gives me an extra large reservoir of data from which to extrapolate. Coincidence? who knows? I've also never been one to body build for mass, merely for tone, strength, athleticism, and symmetry.
Perhaps I have just been lucky, and experienced minimal negative side-effects, and maximal hair maintenance with a fair amount of regrowth. Although, I have already stated in previous posts how I had noticeable gynecomastia or estrogen-related side-effects, which disappeared upon reducing my dosage.
But if you have discovered a major medical study concerning Finasteride's affect on muscle building, or other health concerns, I'm more than interested in reading the information. Or if you want to state a contrary opinion to mine in an intelligent and coherent manner, feel free. I'm certainly not trying to sell this stuff to anyone. I'm merely trying to figure out hair loss, my own body, and how Finasteride fits into the equation.
