Propecia and Me (what a title)

So i posted about considering propecia....and many agree that i am a perfect candidate. One poster, however, warned me to consider it deeply, and that possibly saving hair might not be worth taking a drug that alters my entire hormonal makeup. The only side effect i have heard about propecia is loss of sex drive, in 2% of men. Are there other side effects i should know about before deciding?

There have been much talk about reduced body hair, increased body fat and growing breasts lately. I'm considering Propecia too, so hopefully these sides are really rare.

woooowwwaaaa

Holy dogpoopoo.

I have a hairy chest anyway, so loss of body hair i really wouldn't mind.
I am a real lanky guy at six four, and i workout every other day. If it is nothing dramatic, increased weight would not bother me.
Getting boobies, well that one would.
Anyone heard anything else about any of these????

There has been some kind of hysteria going on. Just do a search on "gyno" here. :)

I suspect that the breasts occur in the guys that have barely any body hair which would make thier gene makeup more easily switched toward feminine qualities .Also baby fine hair .Just a hunch

Well, that'd rule me out. I've been like a wolf since I was twelve. I should have seen my male pattern baldness coming from miles away. :p

don't let the other potential sides of propecia scare you away from trying it. I experienced a small amount of sides in the beginning but they eventually subsided. I have been very happy with propecia and minoxidil since I started.

less body hair would rule!

The worst side effect is that I sucked my first dick while massaging my tities, just 2 weeks after I began taking finasteride

Be careful with it.. :freaked:

If you are worried about gyno have a doctor do some blood work now, and then in a few month go back and see where you body has adjusted and where it has not.

Guy''s if you do decided to give finasteride a go(im not saying you should or shouldent thats your choice) know that if you do experiance any side effects. You can just stop taking finasteride and they will go away.

Worried about stopping finasteride. You male pattern baldness will continue where it left off, it would be as if you had never taken it at all you wont lose any extra hair. On a final note i do not suggest that you believe me. Seek a boneafide source such as a medical journal or a doctor who specialises in that field.
