Propecia and breast pain

H, I am on propecia for 3 weeks. For last few days I am experiencing mild pain (a bit funny feelings too) on my left breast. I was ignoring it as pain was very mind and occasional. But yesterday, the pain increase a bit, that’s make me worried. My question is. Is it one of the possible side effect of propecia? And should I keep taking propecia, or should I temporarily stop it to see if pain goes away?

This is quite the topic these days on the ol' forum.

Yes, your breast pain could be a side effect of the propecia.

Your options are to wait it out and see if the pain subsides / goes away, or, take a propecia break and see if that helps.

When you start back on propecia - you could consider starting back at a reduced dosage, like 1mg every other day instead of every day.

Yes it may be caused by the propecia, I would wait a bit as it may well just go away.

However, keep an eye on how your nipple looks, if you notice it getting bigger or puffy looking then stop propecia immediately as you may be developing gyno.

Thanks for the support guys. After lots of courage, I took propecia again today, let’s see what happens. If thing goes worse, I will take a break from propecia for few days, to see if it goes away. Then I will probably start taking it in every other day. I double checked my nipples, they look normal but I will keep looking at them. But is having pain in the breast or nipple a sign of getting gyno?? No matter what, I don’t want to end up with gyno.

I will try my best, because propecia is the only hope I have, as I am severally allergic to minoxidil. Now if propecia fucked me up then I am really screwed. Actually, I was expecting something bad as everything going wrong in my life right now.

Hang tough arya. Don't let the BS get to you. Especially don't let your hair get you down - because in the long run - it really doesn't matter anyway.
