Hello there!
First of I'm 21 years old and suffer from male pattern baldness(genetics) in the temples area.
I started using Minoxidil(liquid) in July this year by applying the 'required' two times a day in the morning and the evening.
At first I had a little to no shed with regrowth at the temples which were more or less baby hair.
After 2 months I actually found white flakes which was probably minoxidil residue. I thought no big deal just use a comb to remove and keep on the regime.
Then after 3months I started using it only once a day ranging from the morning to afternoon. Now in the 4th to 5th Month I shed a lot only in the temples area to the point of my hair being even worse than in the beginning of the process.
So is this just due to the change in the regime so my hair has to readjust or is minoxidil actually just now taking any effect on my hair?
TL;DR: Changed from 2 applications to 1 after 3 months -> now shedding in temples area. Why?

Thanks in advance.

if you don't see results (like a third of people who use minoxidil alone) it is recommended you stop after 4 months. I would use finasteride if I were you

Thing is if you have male pattern baldness minoxidil wont treat the cause of it
only anti androgens like finasteride and dutasteride would do that

minixi just stimulate gair growth thats all

So you guys think my current shedding is not induced due to the change in my regime but from 'normal' hair loss?
