The head of hair: medium length, somewhat coarse, naturally wavy, black hair.
The Product: FX Surf Hair
The Mission: Incredible Volume, a bit of shine and a Hercules Headlock Hold.
Verdict: Fail
What Happened: While Surf Head does give a bit of volume, it's not on par with it's contemporaries. It also does not dry and instead gives a very high shine, greasy look to it. On top of that it does two things: makes you feel like you just dunked your head in 30w motor oil and makes your hair feel heavy and nasty. Damn, it felt like I hadn't washed my hair in three days. Since it doesn't dry that well, my hair fell flat and trying to achieve a decent style made me look like an amateur.
This is probably better suited to longer hairstyles for guys that have long locks and desire for the greaser pose. It'll be great for getting a slicked back look, it you can pull that off.
