Pretty Boys Can't Pull Off The Balding Look.

Believe it or not some guys can carry off the bald look rather well but it's not just about being good looking it's having the right look. I think pretty boys are doomed even if they are beautiful - just look at Jude Law. However the guys with a tough guy, masculine look eg Jason Statham or The Rock seem to almost suit being bald.

Yes I came to this conclusion a while back.

There seems to be two different "archetypes" for men to look good in the west.

Call them the Chace Crawford / Justin Bieber and Jason Statham / Bruce Willis looks.

If you have height, wide bones, and good muscle mass, aspects like eyes, smooth skin, and perfect hair simply don't matter as much.

If you have perfect skin, hair, and eyes, then aspects like height, biceps, and sick packs don't matter as much.

To a good approximation, 15 year-old girls prefer pretty boys, and adult women prefer masculine men, but the dispersions are broad.

If they can't, imagine balding ugly guys, like myself. Try to wake up everyday in my shoes without feeling the urge to eat your gun.

There is more to life than outward appearances. You need to get over your looks and focus on other aspects of life.

I agree totally, ive been told im a "pretty boy" and im skinny, in shape skinny at least, but very slim/trim. but without my hair i look like a totally different person. I buzzed it 2 summers ago... I wanted to die lol i just wore a hat, Which i dont look all that Good in either and kinda just hid for 3-4 months. I almost look sickly w/Out my hair. Of course im my harshest critic, but i for one cannot pull off bald at all...

Yes, if you're tall, have black hair, full beard stubble+aviator sunglasses game and have decent looking white teeth you have the qualities to succeed in life, you can get any type of women and get respect from other males even as a baldite.

A prettyboy is screwed once he gets past 24, I knew this and it's what happened.

I'm not sure I'd say I was a pretty boy but I've often been told I had "cute" looks and girls always made a fuss over me. It's not until the last couple of years (I'm 37) that I don't seem to have girls fawning and cooing over me any more. This could be partly down to hair loss or maybe just getting old.

Being a pretty boy doesnt mean you look androgynous.

Of course they can pull it off just like there rugged-masculine bear counter parts.

Pulling is subjective, and doesn't mean sh*t. Will never be handsome with a bald head... Simply 'pulling it off'

Pretty boys are generally guys with beautiful hair, eyes, teeth and skin.

Look at Leonardo Di Caprio now, he has the manchild look, he doesn't have the option to shave that little beard, he needs it. Now imagine him with the island, yikes!

I always thought Leo's hairline looks good on him tbh.

I have a baby face. If I went bald I would literally look like a f*****g weirdo. So I feel the thread title hard.

Sure generally speaking. I still want my hair regardless of whether im a pretty boy or super rugged whoever. In the end its as simple as how you feel about it. Now being able to do something about it is another story

Mate you are prehistoric around here.

After all these years, what is your follicular status, and what have you done about it?
