pregnacies on finasteride

so i've heard that if you take finasteride, and do the business and happen to get a lady pregnant, the child might have sever defects is this true? i've heard that one of the ingrediants taken with finasteride passes through your semen and can cause problems. can anyone shed some light on this only it sounds a bit worrying.

I have a kid and don't want another one just at the minute not untill I find mrs right anyway.. but lets say I find her and we want to have kids. any info would be great.

Stop for a while

I think I read on Dr. Lee's site (minoxidil.com) to stop for 2 weeks before trying to have procreative sex.

I think I've read about others who've taken a couple months off (or even more).
