This is a post on behalf of Josh, who has so far been unable to join the forum due to the technical glitch previously discussed:

Hey everyone,

I've been wearing Ultra thin skin poly (0.03mm) units for 7 months now and I've never tried lace. I'd like to think I treat my units very well as I've seen virtually no shedding after 4 months on a single unit and pretty much no fading either.

I've got a French lace unit arriving tomorrow which I plan on installing in a couple of days. I'm looking for advice on how I should treat the unit differently to my poly units.

Specifically, my routine with poly is as follows:
1. I rinse and condition every day (sometimes every second day) with Olaplex conditioner.
2. I use Pro hair labs Ghost mist as my leave in every morning.
3. I shampoo with Olaplex shampoo once a week.
4. I reattach my unit every 2 weeks with tape around the perimeter and Ghost bond platinum at the hairline.

Sometimes I'll put a small amount of argan oil on my hands and put it on the hair if I feel it needs it.

Styling wise, I blow dry my hair on cool setting to get a quiff at the front. Sometimes I'll use pomade or clay to get a better hold especially if there's lots of flyaways sticking out at the front.

If I continue this routine for my first French lace unit, I'm concerned about shedding as a result of applying conditioner too close to the knots, as well as using argan oil and styling products mentioned above.

Any advice or tips for me as a first time lace wearer would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh
