Ive been trying to find examples of fincar cut into fifths but havent been able to find any. I used the search function on this forum and have seen the proscar cutting diagram but that isnt applicable for the generic fincar seeing that proscar is shaped almost like a pentagon and fincar is a perfect circle.

I actually wasnt even able to find any pics of perfect circles in general divided into fifths on various geometry websites and such so any visual aid is definitely appreciated.

Also, is there a preferred pill cutter for dividing into fifths? most of the pill cutters ive seen at walgreens/walmart type stores seem to be designed more to cut into halves or quarters.

thanks

Don't worry too much about quartering finasteride. The dose/response relationship for this drug is essentally flat over a pretty broad range. English translation: a little works as well as a lot.

Add this to the fact that the drug forms an essentially-irreversible complex with the target enzyme. This means that new enzyme has to be synthesized to restore activity. This is a matter of days to weeks, not hours.

The end result is that how much you take over a day (or even a few days) doesn't matter too much. Just quarter the rather irregular tablets as well as you can and don't worry about it.
