Hi everyone, just made this account. I had an 1800 graft robotic FUE completed 8 days ago. I am concerned with the density (lack of) and miniaturized hair, especially around the temples. The clinic is reputable and the Doctor wanted a natural result but I am anxious about the final outcome. I know it’s too early to tell, which is why I wanted to get another set of eyes on it.

I’ve followed all care instructions to the T. Does this look normal or am I overreacting?

Do you have any before surgery pics? Based on your bolding pattern it looks like you needed 3000+ grafts. Did the clinic tell you the reason they decided to only use 1800 grafts?

This is me prior to the surgery. The 1800 graft # was the amount the Dr. said I would need to fill to produce a natural result.

mannn you definitely need more than 1,800 grafts. Even if you get lucky and your grafts have a high survival rate, the density will be sparse.

I like that you didn't go crazy with a straight line or anything. I have done fue as well and nobody can tell, I simply first wanted to preserve what I had (NW2-ish), thicken it, and come back (forward on the hairline) just a step. However, it does also look like you could have been able to add more density. Perhaps it was a monetary issue?

No, not a monetary issue. He did not charge by the graft. He stated this was a hairline that would look natural. He said 1800 grafts will fill the area. Maybe he didn’t want to oversaturate the area so the follicles aren’t fighting for nutrients? He did make a big point that I am young and will likely need future procedures so maybe he was trying to preserve my donor area.

Yeah, that actually now doesn't look so bad. It is possible you will have top hop on other treatments as well. I had this long inner battle with my self and my dick - haha. I finally hopped on finasteride, shortly after. Total one year so far roughly for both. My goal is to find a partner and get married and get on with my life.

I’m currently on topical finasteride, min, biotin, and other vitamins. I’m getting a derma pen as well so hopefully between all that it will yield results.
